Level 1 and 2 disposal process
The Copping Waste Precinct accepts all levels of regulated waste, asbestos, contaminated soil, municipal waste, commercial and industrial waste and construction and demolition waste.
Level 1 disposal process
The Lutana Waste Transfer Station is licenced to accept Level 1 Waste, including municipal waste, general waste, commercial and industrial waste and construction and demolition waste. Lutana can also accept small volumes of asbestos. Please contact us prior to disposal of asbestos.
Level 2 disposal process
Requests for direct disposal of level 2 waste to the Copping landfill must be made direct to the EPA. Once the EPA has provided their approval, please contact us to book the disposal.

Level 3 process (C Cell)
Southern Waste Solutions (SWS) plays a unique and crucial role in waste management, operating Tasmania’s only regulated waste facility, known as the C Cell.
Lutana Waste Transfer Station
The Lutana Waste Transfer Station (WTS) receives and consolidates waste from across the state before it is transported to the Copping Waste Precinct.
